Kung Fu Driving School is a DOL-approved knowledge-test and road-test center about 4 miles (a 10–15 minute drive) north of the University of Washington. It's a convenient, bilingual (Chinese/English) option for UW students — especially international students getting their first Washington license or switching from a foreign license.

You do NOT need a Washington instruction permit to take the road test — a valid ID is enough. That removes the biggest hurdle for international students who just arrived.

Same-day and weekend road tests, plus a 1-hour warm-up on the real route — useful if you learned to drive in another country and want to pass on the first try.
For UW international students
If you're on an F-1 or J-1 visa and living in Washington, you can generally apply for a Washington driver license — bring your identity and residency documents; check the DOL's document list before you go.
A valid foreign driver license or a Washington instruction permit is required only for a lesson or warm-up (any session where you drive before the test), not for the road test itself.
Many UW students come in, do a short warm-up on the test route, and take the road test the same visit.

We're at 11328 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle, WA 98125, near Northgate — straight north of the U District.
About 4 miles: head north on Roosevelt Way NE or 15th Ave NE, roughly 10–15 minutes by car. Link light rail (U District ↔ Northgate) plus a short walk/bus also works.
School vehicles are provided by default for every appointment and are already inspection-ready, so you don't need your own car.
